The best TikTok schedulers in 2026
Scheduling TikTok is more constrained than scheduling Instagram or LinkedIn. TikTok's own scheduler only works on desktop and only ten days ahead, and every third-party app must follow TikTok's posting rules: you pick the privacy level yourself, interaction settings start switched off, and some sounds cannot be added through the API at all. We compared the main options on what they can publish to TikTok directly, using TikTok's developer documentation and each vendor's own pages.
Up to 14 days free. Card required, but you won't be charged before the trial ends. Cancel anytime.

TL;DR: Postify is our pick if TikTok is one of several networks you post to: videos and photo carousels publish directly from the same calendar, with a TikTok grid preview, but there is no TikTok inbox. TikTok's own scheduler is free for desktop posting up to ten days ahead. Metricool has the most detailed TikTok publishing controls and a free plan, Buffer is cheapest for one account, and Later adds TikTok comments to its inbox.
By the Postify team at Businice S.R.L. Postify makes this site. We list ourselves first and say where other tools are stronger.
What should a TikTok scheduler do?
A TikTok scheduler should publish videos and photo carousels directly, without a phone reminder, show TikTok's required privacy and interaction controls clearly, and tell you which sounds it cannot add. After that, compare comment handling, best-time data, how it fits your other networks, and the price for a single brand.
Direct publishing is the baseline. TikTok's Content Posting API lets approved apps post videos and photo posts straight to a creator's profile, so a scheduler should not need you to finish the post in the TikTok app. The exceptions are features the API cannot reach: Buffer, for example, notes that trending sounds cannot be added through the API and sends those posts as notifications instead.
Photo carousels deserve their own check. TikTok accepts up to 35 photos in one post through the API, but not every scheduler supports them on every device. Later, for instance, supports photo carousels on desktop and iOS only.
Finally, think about what happens after the post goes live. Some tools bring TikTok comments into a shared inbox, others leave replies to the TikTok app. If your team answers comments together, that difference matters more than any scheduling feature.
What does TikTok's API let a scheduler publish?
TikTok's Content Posting API lets approved apps publish videos and photo posts of up to 35 images directly to a creator's profile. Every creator can post three-minute videos through it, some up to ten minutes. Apps must let you choose the privacy level yourself, leave comments, Duet and Stitch off by default, and show a preview.
TikTok sets the same rules for every app that posts on a creator's behalf, so these are not features one scheduler has and another lacks. Its content sharing guidelines require apps to let the creator pick a privacy level with no default selected, keep comment, Duet and Stitch settings off until the creator turns them on, ask whether the post is commercial content, and show a preview before posting. Apps may not add watermarks.
Commercial content has its own labels. If you mark a post as promoting your own brand, TikTok labels it "Promotional content"; if it is branded content for someone else, it is labelled "Paid partnership". The API also caps posting at roughly 15 posts per creator account per day.
One more detail explains a common question: posts from apps that have not passed TikTok's audit are restricted to private viewing. If a post from a new tool shows up as private, that may be why.
- Videos: MP4, WebM or MOV; three minutes for every creator, five or ten minutes for some.
- Photo posts: up to 35 images, WebP or JPEG, up to 1080p and 20 MB each.
- Text: title up to 90 characters and description up to 4,000 characters on photo posts.
- Required controls: privacy level, comment, Duet and Stitch settings, commercial content disclosure, preview.
Can you schedule TikTok posts without a third-party tool?
Yes. TikTok's own scheduler is free and runs in a desktop web browser, not the mobile app or mobile web. You can schedule a post from 15 minutes to 10 days ahead, and TikTok's help center limits this to Business Accounts with 10,000 or more followers. A scheduled post cannot be edited, only deleted and scheduled again.
For one creator posting a few times a week, TikTok's own scheduler is often enough. It is free, and nothing has to pass through a third-party app. The limits are the desktop-only workflow, the ten-day window, and the lack of edits.
A third-party scheduler starts to pay off when TikTok is one of several networks, when you plan more than ten days out, or when the same video should also go to Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Those tools keep the post on their side and send it through the API at the time you set, so TikTok's ten-day window applies only to its own scheduler.
Which TikTok schedulers publish videos and photo carousels directly?
Postify, Metricool and Later publish both TikTok videos and photo carousels directly; Later supports carousels on desktop and iOS only, and Metricool takes up to 35 images. Buffer auto-publishes TikTok videos but sends posts with trending sounds as notifications. Of the tools we checked, Later documents a TikTok comment inbox, from its Growth plan; Postify has none.
The table sums up the TikTok features we could verify on each vendor's own pages. "Not documented" means we did not find the feature on the official pages, not that it is missing. Prices are list prices for the cheapest paid plan in US dollars; Postify bills in euros, so compare at your own exchange rate.

1. Postify
TikTok alongside other networks from one calendar, with a TikTok grid preview
Postify publishes TikTok videos and photo carousels directly, with no phone reminder. The feed grid preview shows how scheduled TikToks will sit on your profile, and each network gets its own caption inside one post, so the same video can go to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts with captions written for each. The calendar also publishes to Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Pinterest and Plative, our own social network, nine platforms in all. Every plan includes Postify Link and our MCP server, so your own AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, can draft and schedule TikToks for you. There is no TikTok inbox: TikTok comments and messages stay in the TikTok app.
Pros
- Videos and photo carousels publish directly, with no reminder step
- Feed grid preview for TikTok (and Instagram)
- One post with a separate caption per network for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
- Queues with time slots and recurring posts from the Plus plan
- Link in bio page and MCP server access on every plan
- A free 7-day trial on every plan
Cons
- No TikTok inbox: comments and DMs are answered in the TikTok app
- Best-time suggestions cover Instagram only, not TikTok
- No free plan, and the entry plan is 1 brand, 1 user and 15 posts a month
- No built-in AI writer, no CSV upload, and no public REST API, Zapier or Make (the MCP server is the programmatic route)
Verdict: Pick Postify when TikTok is part of a wider posting plan and you want videos and photo carousels to go out on their own next to your other networks. If you answer TikTok comments as a team, or want TikTok best-time data, Later covers both; if you only post to TikTok, its own scheduler may be enough.
Pricing: From €9.99 per month (€8.33 billed yearly) for 1 brand, 1 user and 15 posts per month; queues, recurring posts and the inbox from the Plus plan
2. TikTok scheduler
Free scheduling for a single TikTok account on desktop
TikTok's own scheduler lives in the desktop web upload flow. You can schedule a post from 15 minutes to 10 days ahead. TikTok's help center says scheduling is not available in the mobile app or on mobile web, limits desktop scheduling to Business Accounts with 10,000 or more followers, and says a scheduled post cannot be edited: to change it, you delete it and schedule it again.
Pros
- Free and built in
- No third-party app or API approval involved
Cons
- Desktop web only, not the mobile app
- At most 10 days ahead
- Scheduled posts cannot be edited, only deleted
Verdict: Use TikTok's own scheduler if you post only to TikTok, work from a computer and plan no more than ten days ahead.
Pricing: Free
3. Metricool
Detailed TikTok publishing controls and a free start
Metricool documents its TikTok publishing in more detail than most. It schedules videos from 3 seconds to 10 minutes and up to 500 MB, and photo carousels of up to 35 images, for both personal and business accounts. The composer exposes TikTok's privacy, comment, Duet and Stitch settings, branded content disclosure and an AI-generated content label, and business accounts can pick trending songs. If you prefer to finish a post in TikTok, a manual notification option sends it to your phone instead. Metricool also offers an MCP server on every plan.
Pros
- Photo carousels of up to 35 images
- Trending songs for TikTok business accounts
- Free plan for 1 brand and 20 posts per month
- MCP server on every plan, Free included
Cons
- Starter is priced for up to 5 brands, more than a single creator needs
- Trending songs are limited to business accounts
Verdict: Pick Metricool if you want the most TikTok controls in a third-party scheduler, especially music for a business account, and a free plan to start on.
Pricing: Free for 1 brand and 20 posts per month; Starter $25 per month billed monthly or $20 billed yearly, for up to 5 brands
4. Buffer
One TikTok account on a small budget, reposted to Reels and Shorts
Buffer auto-publishes TikTok videos when the post meets TikTok's API requirements, and does not require a TikTok Business account. Trending sounds cannot be added through the API, so Buffer sends those posts as notifications for you to finish in TikTok. One video can be published to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts together. Its TikTok analytics are basic post metrics; Buffer says advanced TikTok analytics are not available. Per-channel pricing keeps a single TikTok account cheap.
Pros
- Free plan for 3 channels
- No TikTok Business account required
- One video to TikTok, Reels and Shorts
Cons
- Posts with trending sounds become notifications
- Basic TikTok post metrics only
Verdict: Pick Buffer if you run one TikTok account, want to start free, and mostly post videos with original audio.
Pricing: Free for 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel; Essentials $6 per channel per month ($5 billed yearly); 14-day trial
5. Later
TikTok comments in a shared inbox, with TikTok best-time data
Later schedules TikTok video and photo posts on every plan, with photo carousels on desktop and iOS. Paid plans add best-time-to-post data for TikTok business and creator accounts, and from the Growth plan ($37.50 per month billed yearly) the Social Inbox brings in TikTok comments alongside Instagram and Facebook. That puts TikTok scheduling and TikTok comment replies in one tool.
Pros
- TikTok comments in the Social Inbox from the Growth plan
- Best-time data for TikTok business and creator accounts on paid plans
- TikTok video and photo posts on every plan
Cons
- Photo carousels on desktop and iOS only
- Starter caps posting at 30 posts per profile per month, and the inbox needs Growth
Verdict: Pick Later if your team answers TikTok comments together or you want TikTok best-time data, and you are happy to pay for the Growth plan.
Pricing: Starter $18.75 per month billed yearly (1 social set of up to 8 profiles, 1 user, 30 posts per profile per month); 14-day trial; a limited Free plan
Frequently asked questions
- What is the best TikTok scheduler?
- For TikTok as part of a wider plan, with videos and photo carousels published directly next to your other networks, we recommend Postify. TikTok's own scheduler is free for desktop posting up to ten days ahead, Metricool has the most TikTok controls, Buffer is cheapest for one account, and Later adds a TikTok comment inbox. We make Postify, so weigh it against the criteria above.
- Can you schedule TikTok posts for free?
- Yes. TikTok's own scheduler is free on desktop web, and Metricool, Buffer and Later have free plans with post caps. Postify has no free plan, but every plan starts with a free 7-day trial.
- How far in advance can you schedule a TikTok?
- With TikTok's own scheduler, from 15 minutes to 10 days ahead. Third-party schedulers hold the post and publish it through TikTok's API at the time you set, so the ten-day window does not apply to them.
- Can you edit a scheduled TikTok?
- Not in TikTok's own scheduler: its help center says a scheduled post can only be deleted, then scheduled again. Third-party schedulers keep the post on their side until it publishes, so you can usually change the caption or time before then.
- Can a scheduler add trending sounds to TikTok posts?
- It depends on the tool. Buffer says trending sounds cannot be added through TikTok's API and sends those posts as notifications, while Metricool offers trending songs for business accounts. Videos with their own audio publish normally everywhere. To be sure of a sound, add it in TikTok itself.
- Does Postify have a TikTok inbox?
- No. Postify publishes TikTok videos and photo carousels directly, but TikTok comments and messages are not in its inbox, so you answer them in the TikTok app. Postify's inbox covers comments on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and Plative, and direct messages on Facebook, Instagram and Plative.
- Why did my scheduled TikTok post as private?
- TikTok restricts posts from apps that have not passed its audit to private viewing, and every posting app must let you pick the privacy level with no default. Check the privacy setting on the post first; if it was public, the app you used may not be approved by TikTok yet.
