The best LinkedIn schedulers in 2026
On LinkedIn, the format of a post is part of the plan: a poll, a PDF carousel or a first comment that holds the link. LinkedIn's own scheduler handles plain posts well but cannot schedule polls or multi-photo posts on Company pages. We compared six options on which LinkedIn formats they can publish, for profiles and for pages, using LinkedIn's documentation and each vendor's own pages.

TL;DR: Postify is our pick if LinkedIn is one of several networks you run: it publishes to personal profiles and Company pages, schedules polls, adds a first comment from the Plus plan and brings LinkedIn comments into its inbox. LinkedIn's own scheduler is free and lets you edit scheduled posts. Metricool and Agorapulse are strongest on polls and document carousels, Buffer is cheapest for one profile, and Later suits visual brands that post to LinkedIn on the side.
By the Postify team at Businice S.R.L. Postify makes this site. We list ourselves first and say where other tools are stronger.
What should a LinkedIn scheduler do?
A LinkedIn scheduler should publish to both personal profiles and Company pages, because most B2B posting mixes the two. It should support the formats that perform on LinkedIn, such as polls, document carousels and multi-image posts, add a first comment for links, and help you answer comments. Price per profile comes after that.
Profiles and pages first. Founders, consultants and sales teams often post from their own profile and reshare from the Company page, so a tool that connects only one of the two, or one per brand, can force a second account. Metricool, for example, connects either a personal profile or a page per brand, not both.
Formats next. LinkedIn's API lets approved apps publish polls, multi-image posts and documents (the PDF carousels you see in the feed) for both members and organizations, but each scheduler decides which of these it supports. Polls are a common gap, and LinkedIn's own Company page scheduler cannot schedule them.
Finally, the first comment. Many LinkedIn posters move outbound links into the first comment, so a scheduler that publishes the comment with the post saves you watching the clock. Check whether it works on your plan, and whether LinkedIn comments come back into a shared inbox.
What can schedulers publish to LinkedIn through its API?
Through LinkedIn's API, approved apps can publish text, image, video, multi-image, document and poll posts to members and organizations. Polls take two to four options and run for one, three, seven or fourteen days. Multi-image posts take 2 to 20 images, and documents can be up to 100 MB and 300 pages.
These limits come from LinkedIn's own API documentation, so they apply to every third-party scheduler. A tool can support less than this, never more. Polls have the tightest rules: a 140-character question, options of up to 30 characters, and no edits once the poll is live. LinkedIn also allows API partners to create organic polls only, not sponsored ones.
Documents are how LinkedIn carousels work: you upload a PDF, PowerPoint or Word file and LinkedIn shows it as swipeable pages. Multi-image posts are a separate format that shows photos in a grid. If a vendor says it supports "LinkedIn carousels", check which of the two it means.
| Format | Limits | Who can post |
|---|---|---|
| Poll | 2 to 4 options of up to 30 characters; question up to 140 characters; 1, 3, 7 or 14 days; cannot be edited | Members and organizations |
| Multi-image | 2 to 20 images; JPG, GIF or PNG | Members and organizations |
| Document | PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC or DOCX; up to 100 MB and 300 pages | Members and organizations |
Can you schedule LinkedIn posts without a third-party tool?
Yes. LinkedIn schedules posts from personal profiles from 10 minutes to three months ahead, and from Company pages from one hour to three months ahead. You can view, edit, reschedule and delete scheduled posts. Neither can schedule events or jobs, and Company pages also cannot schedule polls, multi-photo posts, reshares or service posts.
Some AI answers claim LinkedIn's own scheduler cannot edit a scheduled post. LinkedIn's Help Center says otherwise: from the scheduled posts view you can edit, reschedule or delete a post on your profile, and on a Company page, super and content admins can schedule posts and edit posts that other admins scheduled.
The gaps are formats and reach. A Company page cannot schedule polls or multi-photo posts natively, and the native scheduler only covers LinkedIn. If you post the same idea to X, Threads or Instagram, or want first comments and a shared inbox, a third-party scheduler fills those gaps.
Which LinkedIn schedulers support polls and Company pages?
Postify publishes polls to LinkedIn profiles and Company pages, and Metricool and Agorapulse also schedule LinkedIn polls. Postify, Buffer and Later connect both profiles and pages, while Metricool connects one or the other per brand. LinkedIn's own scheduler cannot schedule polls on Company pages, and Buffer's LinkedIn page does not list polls.
The table sums up the LinkedIn features we could verify on each vendor's own pages. "Not documented" means we did not find the feature on the official pages, not that it is missing. Prices are list prices for the cheapest paid plan in US dollars; Postify bills in euros, so compare at your own exchange rate.
On documents: Postify publishes PDF documents and can turn several images into a PDF carousel, Buffer auto-publishes PDF carousels, Metricool schedules PDF, PowerPoint and Word documents of up to 300 pages, and Agorapulse builds carousels from PDF, DOCX or PPTX files. Later's help center says PDF documents cannot be scheduled to LinkedIn.

1. Postify
LinkedIn profiles and Company pages alongside other networks, with polls and first comments
Postify connects both LinkedIn personal profiles and Company pages, so a founder's post and the page's post can sit in the same calendar. It schedules LinkedIn polls and PDF document carousels, and can turn several images into one PDF carousel. From the Plus plan it publishes a first comment with the post, which is where many LinkedIn posters put their links, and brings LinkedIn comments into the unified inbox for replies. Each network gets its own caption inside one post, so the LinkedIn version can be longer and more formal than the X or Threads one, and per-platform previews show how it will look. The calendar also publishes to Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, X, Pinterest and Plative, our own social network, nine platforms in all, and every plan includes Postify Link and our MCP server, so your own AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, can draft and schedule LinkedIn posts for you.
Pros
- Personal profiles and Company pages, both on the same account
- LinkedIn polls and PDF document carousels, including carousels built from images
- First comment and LinkedIn comments in the inbox from the Plus plan
- Separate captions per network and per-platform previews
- Link in bio page and MCP server access on every plan
- A free 7-day trial on every plan
Cons
- No LinkedIn messages: the inbox covers LinkedIn comments, not DMs
- Best-time suggestions cover Instagram only, and competitor benchmarks cover YouTube channels only
- No free plan, and the entry plan is 1 brand, 1 user and 15 posts a month with no inbox or first comment
- No built-in AI writer, no CSV upload, and no public REST API, Zapier or Make (the MCP server is the programmatic route)
Verdict: Pick Postify when LinkedIn is part of a wider posting plan and you want profiles, Company pages, polls and first comments in one calendar. If LinkedIn is your only network, its own scheduler may be enough.
Pricing: From €9.99 per month (€8.33 billed yearly) for 1 brand, 1 user and 15 posts per month; first comment and inbox from the Plus plan
2. LinkedIn scheduler
Free scheduling for one profile or page, with edits allowed
LinkedIn schedules posts natively from both personal profiles and Company pages. Profiles can schedule from 10 minutes to three months ahead, Company pages from one hour to three months ahead, and super and content admins can schedule for a page. Scheduled posts can be viewed, edited, rescheduled and deleted, and page admins can edit posts other admins scheduled. Company pages cannot schedule polls, multiple photos, events, reshares, jobs or service posts.
Pros
- Free and built in
- Scheduled posts can be edited and rescheduled
- Up to three months ahead
Cons
- Company pages cannot schedule polls or multi-photo posts
- LinkedIn only, with no cross-posting to other networks
Verdict: Use LinkedIn's own scheduler if you post only to LinkedIn, from one profile or page, and mostly publish text, single images or video.
Pricing: Free
3. Metricool
LinkedIn polls and document carousels with clear limits
Metricool documents its LinkedIn support in detail. It schedules polls, documents in PDF, PowerPoint or Word up to 300 pages, image carousels of up to 20 images, video and GIFs, with a first comment and posts of up to 3,000 characters. Formats cannot be mixed in one post. Each brand connects either a personal profile or a Company page, not both, and LinkedIn is not available on the free plan. Metricool also offers an MCP server on every plan.
Pros
- Polls, documents and image carousels of up to 20 images
- First comment on LinkedIn posts
- MCP server on every plan, Free included
Cons
- One LinkedIn profile or page per brand, not both
- LinkedIn is not available on the free plan
Verdict: Pick Metricool if polls and document carousels are central to your LinkedIn plan and you can keep your profile and Company page in separate brands.
Pricing: Free for 1 brand and 20 posts per month, without LinkedIn; Starter $25 per month billed monthly or $20 billed yearly, for up to 5 brands
4. Agorapulse
Teams that run LinkedIn alongside a busy shared inbox
Agorapulse schedules LinkedIn polls with two to four options of up to 30 characters and durations of one day, three days, one week or two weeks, but a poll cannot carry media, it cannot be created in the mobile app, and poll responses are not shown inside Agorapulse. It builds LinkedIn carousels from PDF, DOCX or PPTX files and can publish a first comment. Pricing is per user, which suits teams more than solo posters.
Pros
- Polls and document carousels from PDF, DOCX or PPTX
- First comment on LinkedIn posts
- 30-day trial without a card
Cons
- Per-user pricing is expensive for one person
- Poll results are not shown in Agorapulse, and polls cannot be created in the mobile app
Verdict: Pick Agorapulse if a team manages LinkedIn alongside other networks and the shared inbox matters as much as scheduling.
Pricing: Standard $99 per user per month billed monthly or $79 billed yearly, with 10 social profiles; 30-day trial with no card
5. Buffer
One LinkedIn profile or page on a small budget
Buffer connects LinkedIn personal profiles and Company pages and publishes text, image, GIF, PDF, video and link preview posts, auto-publishing carousel and PDF posts. A first comment is available on the paid Essentials and Team plans. Buffer's LinkedIn page does not list polls. Per-channel pricing makes one profile cheap and grows with each channel you add.
Pros
- Free plan for 3 channels
- Profiles and Company pages, with PDF carousels
- First comment on Essentials and Team
Cons
- Polls are not listed among Buffer's LinkedIn formats
- The price grows with every channel you add
Verdict: Pick Buffer if you post to one LinkedIn profile or page, want PDF carousels, and do not need polls.
Pricing: Free for 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel; Essentials $6 per channel per month ($5 billed yearly); 14-day trial
6. Later
Visual brands that post to LinkedIn alongside Instagram and TikTok
Later publishes to LinkedIn personal profiles and Company pages, with single image, video and text posts. Its strengths are elsewhere: visual planning for Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest. Later's help center says PDF documents cannot be scheduled to LinkedIn, and its two help pages disagree on multi-photo posts for personal profiles, so test that before relying on it.
Pros
- LinkedIn profiles and Company pages
- Strong visual planning for Instagram and TikTok in the same tool
Cons
- PDF documents cannot be scheduled to LinkedIn
- Starter caps posting at 30 posts per profile per month
Verdict: Pick Later if Instagram and TikTok come first and LinkedIn gets the occasional image or video post.
Pricing: Starter $18.75 per month billed yearly (1 social set of up to 8 profiles, 1 user, 30 posts per profile per month); 14-day trial; a limited Free plan
Frequently asked questions
- What is the best LinkedIn scheduler?
- For LinkedIn as part of a wider plan, with profiles, Company pages, polls and first comments in one calendar, we recommend Postify. LinkedIn's own scheduler is free and allows edits, Metricool and Agorapulse are strongest on polls and documents, Buffer is cheapest for one profile, and Later suits visual brands. We make Postify, so weigh it against the criteria above.
- Can you edit a scheduled post on LinkedIn?
- Yes. LinkedIn's Help Center says you can view, edit, reschedule and delete scheduled posts on your profile, and Company page admins can edit posts that other admins scheduled. Polls are the exception once they are live: LinkedIn does not allow a poll's question or options to be updated.
- How far in advance can you schedule LinkedIn posts?
- Up to three months. Personal profiles can schedule from 10 minutes ahead and Company pages from one hour ahead. Third-party schedulers hold the post and publish it through the API at the time you set.
- Can you schedule LinkedIn polls?
- Not on a Company page with LinkedIn's own scheduler, which cannot schedule polls. Third-party tools can: Postify, Metricool and Agorapulse all schedule LinkedIn polls. LinkedIn polls take two to four options of up to 30 characters and run for one, three, seven or fourteen days.
- Can you schedule LinkedIn carousels?
- Yes, as documents or multi-image posts. LinkedIn's API accepts PDF, PowerPoint and Word documents of up to 300 pages and multi-image posts of 2 to 20 images. Postify, Buffer, Metricool and Agorapulse schedule document carousels; Later's help center says PDF documents cannot be scheduled.
- Can a scheduler post to both my LinkedIn profile and my Company page?
- Most can. Postify, Buffer and Later connect both personal profiles and Company pages. Metricool connects either a profile or a page per brand, so posting to both means two brands. LinkedIn's own scheduler works from each profile or page separately.
- Can ChatGPT or Claude schedule LinkedIn posts?
- Yes, through a scheduler's MCP server. Postify's MCP server, included on every plan, lets your own assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor draft, schedule and check LinkedIn posts, polls included, in your Postify account. Metricool also offers an MCP server on every plan.
