Worth knowing about Hootsuite: Hootsuite has operated since 2008 and is the broader suite: listening, competitive benchmarking, ads, employee advocacy and Wisdom AI sit next to publishing, organized since June 2026 as Social OS modules. It also offers MCP connectors for ChatGPT and Claude that cover publishing, analytics and the inbox. For an enterprise that needs governance, SSO and listening, Postify is not a replacement.

How the pricing models differ

Every Hootsuite plan is priced per user. Billed yearly, Standard is $99 per user per month, Professional $199 and Advanced $399, and Enterprise is quoted on request. The plans page shows no monthly-billed prices, although its FAQ says monthly billing exists at a higher rate.

Postify plans have one price with a set number of users: 1 on the entry plan, then 2, 3, 6 and 12. The entry plan is €9.99 per month, or €8.33 per month billed yearly, for one brand profile and 15 posts per month, with no inbox. The top plan, Agency, is €199.94 per month for 15 brand profiles.

Postify bills in euros and Hootsuite in US dollars, so the size of the gap depends on the exchange rate. The structure does not: on Hootsuite, each extra person is another full seat at your plan's rate.

What Hootsuite includes that Postify does not

Hootsuite covers far more ground. Every plan includes competitive benchmarking, 7-day Quick Search listening, ads publishing and management for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X, Wisdom AI writing, Canva and Adobe Express templates, and bulk scheduling of up to 350 posts per CSV.

Higher tiers add custom reports with PDF or PPT export (Professional), message assignment, routing and post approvals with internal comments (Advanced), and SSO, Salesforce, employee advocacy and 13 months of listening history (Enterprise). Hootsuite also offers public REST APIs for publishing, messaging and user management.

Postify has no listening, competitor benchmarks only for YouTube channels, no ads management in its plans, no Canva, no CSV import or export and no public API. If your work depends on any of these, Hootsuite is the stronger choice.

Networks and video limits

Postify publishes to Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest, plus Plative, its own network. It has no Bluesky, WhatsApp or Google Business Profile. YouTube uploads are capped at 180 seconds and Facebook videos at 90 seconds, so long-form video needs another tool.

AI assistants: both now connect

Hootsuite launched MCP connectors in 2026 as part of Social OS. They let Claude and ChatGPT schedule posts, pull analytics and manage the inbox, and Gemini and Copilot can connect by URL. The listening connector is listed as Enterprise only.

Postify's MCP server is listed on every plan. Your assistant can create, edit and schedule posts, read post and profile insights, upload media and reply in the inbox (Plus and above). Hootsuite also has Wisdom AI built in, while Postify has no built-in writer: the AI is the assistant you bring.

Migration checklist

Export your Hootsuite calendar to CSV or PDF (available on every plan) so you have a list of upcoming posts. A full export of scheduled posts or the content library could not be verified, so download any media you want to keep.
Export reports before you leave: PDF or PPT from Professional, CSV or XLSX from Advanced. Inbox history exports to CSV (18 months) from Professional.
Hootsuite plans renew automatically, and cancelling or downgrading does not refund the rest of the term. Set your Postify start date close to your renewal date.
Postify has no CSV import. Recreate posts in the composer, or connect an AI assistant through Postify's MCP server, give it the rows from your calendar export and have it create the posts, then check each one in the Postify calendar.
