Best Time to Post on TikTok

TikTok skews later than anything else: 20:00 is the peak on all seven days, the window runs 19:00 to 21:00, and Wednesday at 20:00 is the strongest slot in this entire dataset.

Last updated: 2026-07-31

TikTok is the latest-peaking network here and the most consistent about it. The block from 19:00 to 21:00 dominates every day of the week, 20:00 is the high point on all seven, and Wednesday at 20:00 scores higher than any cell on any other network in this dataset.

The late-night tail is real. At 23:00 TikTok is still around half its peak, and even 01:00 holds a level that would be a dead hour on LinkedIn or Facebook. Posting after midnight is not the plan, but it is a long way from wasted, which is not true anywhere else here.

Weekends do not dip at all. Saturday and Sunday both add up to more than a Monday across the day, because the For You feed never depended on people being at a desk. That makes TikTok the one network where a seven day schedule is genuinely worth the effort and where the weekend slots are as good as the weekday ones.

Every hour of the week scored against every other hour on TikTok. The strongest single slot is Wednesday at 20:00, the weekday window runs 19:00 to 21:00, and the weekend peaks around 19:00 to 21:00.

How to post to TikTok

How we build these estimates

What the numbers are

Aggregated engagement patterns: published posting-time studies, the daily rhythms each network reports about its own audience, and how people actually use each app. We turn that into one relative score per hour, 0 to 100, within a single network.

What they are not

They are not measurements of your account, and no personal data goes into them. Nothing here is derived from any individual profile, including the ones inside Postify. They are estimates, reviewed in July 2026, meant as a starting point you then test.

Why scores, not percentages

A score of 80 on Instagram and 80 on LinkedIn do not mean the same volume of anything. Each grid is scaled inside its own network, so the only useful comparison is between two hours on the same network, never between two networks.

Industry adjustments

Picking an industry shifts whole parts of the day rather than single hours: fitness lifts the morning, food and beverage lifts lunch, finance and tech lift working hours and pull the evening down. The shape of the network stays, the emphasis moves.

Timing estimates are aggregated engagement patterns from public posting-time studies and platform posting behaviour, last reviewed July 2026. They are a starting point, not a measurement of your account.

Getting more out of your TikTok timing

  • Aim for 20:00 and treat 19:00 to 21:00 as the window. That block is the strongest part of the day on every single day of the week.
  • Post at the weekend too. Saturday and Sunday both add up to more than a Monday here, which is unique in this dataset, so a seven day rhythm actually pays.
  • Watch time still decides how far a video travels. Timing gets you a bigger starting audience, but the first two seconds decide what happens after that.
  • A late upload is not a lost upload. TikTok keeps enough activity past 23:00 that a video posted late can still start properly, unlike on the daytime networks.
  • If a video is still gaining views the next morning, do not bury it by posting again immediately. Give it the evening slot to itself.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best time to post on TikTok?

20:00, on any day of the week. It is the peak hour on all seven days of these estimates, with 19:00 and 21:00 close behind, and Wednesday at 20:00 is the strongest single slot in the whole dataset.

What is the best day to post on TikTok?

Wednesday is marginally the strongest, then Tuesday and Thursday, but the week is unusually flat: Saturday and Sunday both total more than a Monday, so no day is a bad day here.

Is it better to post on TikTok in the morning or the evening?

Evening, clearly. The morning is the weakest usable part of the TikTok day, and even midday sits well below the 19:00 to 21:00 block. If you can only post once, post in the evening.

Should I post on TikTok at the weekend?

Yes. TikTok is the only network in this dataset where the weekend is essentially as strong as the working week, because the For You feed does not care whether anyone is at work.

Does posting time still matter on TikTok in 2026?

Least of all here, but it is not nothing. The For You feed can pick a video up hours or days after it was posted, so the hour is not decisive. What it does is set how many people see the video in its first push, which is the signal the feed uses to decide whether to keep pushing.
