Profile Picture Resizer
Drop one photo in, crop it square at the size each network asks for, and see it inside the circle it will actually be shown in.
Last updated: 2026-10-25
Every network here shows your profile picture as a circle, and each asks for a different square. A Facebook Page picture looks best at 320 x 320. LinkedIn needs at least 400 x 400 for a personal profile photo, and X asks for 400 x 400. YouTube publishes only the 98 x 98 it renders at. The corners of whatever you upload are cut off everywhere.
This resizer crops your photo to each size and lays the circle mask on top, so you can see whether a chin, a hairline or the edge of a logo gets clipped before you upload anything.
It runs in your browser with canvas, nothing is uploaded, and each result goes to your downloads. Once your profiles match, plan the posts that go with them: Postify schedules to YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and X from one place.
Size to export
Pick the image you are making. The preview and the download follow it.
Your image never leaves your browser. The crop and the export both run on your device, and nothing is uploaded to us. HEIC photos straight from an iPhone only decode in Safari, so export a JPEG copy first if yours will not open.

Drop an image above to see it cropped to this size.
The platform shows this image in a circle, so the corners are cut off.

Export format
0.85 is the safe default. Push to 0.95 for images with text, drop toward 0.7 only when you are fighting a tight file size cap.
Re-encoding through canvas also drops the EXIF block, so the file you download carries no GPS coordinates, camera model or timestamp.

Tips
- Centre the face and leave space around it. The circle cuts the corners, so a tight square crop of a face ends up clipping the top of the head.
- Check the file limits. X caps profile photos at 2 MB, LinkedIn at 8 MB and YouTube at 15 MB. X and YouTube accept GIF, but not animated GIFs.
- Use PNG for a logo and JPG for a photo. Facebook recommends PNG for profile pictures with a logo or text, and JPG for everything else.
Frequently asked questions
What size should a profile picture be?
YouTube: 98 x 98, the size it renders at, since it publishes no upload size. Facebook Page: 320 x 320. LinkedIn personal profile: at least 400 x 400 and at most 7680 x 4320. X: 400 x 400. All four show it as a circle.
Why does my profile picture look small or blurry?
It is shown far smaller than you might expect. Facebook renders a Page profile picture at 176 x 176 on desktop and 196 x 196 on a smartphone, and YouTube at 98 x 98, so the face needs to fill most of the circle to read. Start from a sharp source at least as large as the target.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is cropped with canvas inside your browser and the result goes to your downloads folder. Nothing is sent to Postify or to anyone else, and this tool does not change your profile: you upload the picture yourself on each network.
