LinkedIn Profile Picture Resizer
LinkedIn accepts profile photos from 400 x 400 up to 7680 x 4320 and shows them as a circle. Crop yours square, check the circle, and download it.

For the photo on a personal LinkedIn profile, LinkedIn gives a range rather than a size: at least 400 x 400 pixels, at most 7680 x 4320, PNG or JPG, up to 8 MB. Because it recommends no exact size, this tool exports at the 400 x 400 minimum.
The photo is shown as a circle, so the corners never appear. This resizer crops your image square and draws the circle on top, so you can see whether your face is centred and nothing important is clipped.
These numbers are for a personal profile photo. A company page logo is a separate upload with its own rules, and this page does not size it. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. When your profile is ready, plan the posts that go with it: Postify schedules your LinkedIn posts ahead of time.
Your image never leaves your browser. The crop and the export both run on your device, and nothing is uploaded to us. HEIC photos straight from an iPhone only decode in Safari, so export a JPEG copy first if yours will not open.

Export format
0.85 is the safe default. Push to 0.95 for images with text, drop toward 0.7 only when you are fighting a tight file size cap.
Re-encoding through canvas also drops the EXIF block, so the file you download carries no GPS coordinates, camera model or timestamp.

Tips
- Crop from the top of the head to the shoulders and centre the face. The circle trims the corners, so leave a little space above the head.
- Start from a photo larger than 400 x 400 and let the tool scale it down. Anything smaller is below what LinkedIn accepts.
- Use a plain background. At the small size a profile photo is shown next to posts and comments, a busy background competes with your face.
Frequently asked questions
What size should a LinkedIn profile picture be?
For a personal profile, LinkedIn accepts anything from 400 x 400 to 7680 x 4320 pixels, in PNG or JPG, up to 8 MB. It recommends no exact size, so a square of at least 400 x 400 is the safe choice, and it is shown as a circle.
Is this the same size as a LinkedIn company page logo?
No. The numbers on this page are for the photo on a personal profile. A company page logo is a different upload with its own size and file limits, so check the LinkedIn company page help before you make one.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is cropped with canvas inside this tab and the result goes to your downloads folder. Nothing reaches Postify or LinkedIn until you upload the photo yourself.
