Worth knowing about Tailwind: Tailwind has been a Pinterest developer partner since 2012, and its Pinterest tooling (Pin spacing, keyword research, SmartPin design and Turbo boosts) goes further than a general scheduler. Since its September 25, 2026 restructure it is a Pinterest specialist for new customers, and for a Pinterest-led business that focus is the point.

What changed at Tailwind in September 2026

New customers now choose between Pin Scheduling & Creation, Pinterest SEO and Pinterest Engagement, or a Bundle of all three. Each is priced per Pinterest account and comes with monthly credits: 300 for scheduling, 50 each for SEO and Engagement, and 400 in the Bundle.

The older Pro, Advanced, Max and Plus plans are closed to new users. Existing subscribers keep Instagram and Facebook scheduling, but Tailwind says they lose it permanently if they cancel or switch plans. If you are on one of those plans, that rule matters more than anything else on this page.

Credits against a flat plan

In Tailwind, scheduling a Pin costs 1 credit, a Ghostwriter use 1, a SmartPin 3 or 7, a keyword search 1, and a Turbo boost 7, 12 or 15. Included credits do not roll over. Extra credits cost $10 per 100, do roll over, and can refill automatically.

Postify has no credits. Hobby, at €9.99 per month or €8.33 per month billed yearly, allows 15 posts per month on one profile with one user. From Starter up, posts are unlimited, so the number of Pins you schedule does not change the bill. The number of brand profiles and users does.

Tailwind prices in USD and Postify in EUR, so compare at your own exchange rate rather than by the headline numbers.

Pinterest depth

On Pinterest itself, Tailwind is the deeper tool. It schedules through the official Pinterest API with SmartSchedule suggested times, Pin spacing and interval scheduling, imports Pins from CSV, researches keywords, boosts reach with Turbo, and designs Pins with SmartPin, Tailwind Create or Canva.

Postify publishes image Pins, carousels of 2 to 5 images and videos up to 900 seconds, with a board picker, title, link and alt text, and reports Pinterest analytics with trends data from Starter up. It has no keyword research, spacing, CSV import or Pinterest inbox, and first comments are not available on Pinterest.

Everything outside Pinterest

For a new Tailwind account, there is nothing to schedule outside Pinterest. Smart.bio, Tailwind's free link in bio, needs a connected Instagram account.

Postify publishes directly to Instagram (feed, carousels, Reels and Stories), Facebook Pages, Threads, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and YouTube (videos up to 180 seconds), plus Plative. Each post can carry a different caption per network, and Postify Link, the link-in-bio page, is on every plan.

From Plus, Postify adds an inbox for comments and Facebook and Instagram DMs, plus first comments on supported networks. From Pro, a per-post client review link where the client accepts or rejects.

Automation and AI assistants

Tailwind offers a documented public REST API and an MCP server, launched January 27, 2026, that connects by OAuth or API key. MCP usage draws on the same credits as the app.

Postify has an MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant draft, schedule and analyze posts, but no public API, webhooks, Zapier or Make. If you build your own Pinterest pipelines, Tailwind gives you more to work with.

Migration checklist

If you are on a legacy Tailwind plan (Pro, Advanced, Max or Plus) and still schedule Instagram or Facebook there, do not cancel or change it until Postify is publishing those accounts. Tailwind says legacy subscribers lose Instagram and Facebook scheduling permanently once they cancel or switch.
No export of scheduled Pins or analytics was found in Tailwind's help center. Save Pin images, titles, descriptions, links and key Insights figures while you still have access.
Tailwind bills each product as its own subscription, so cancel each one separately. Access lasts to the end of the paid period, and there are no refunds for early cancellation.
Connect Pinterest in a Postify profile and schedule one test Pin to each board you use. Postify picks the board per Pin and creates one if the account has none.
Rebuild your posting rhythm by hand. Postify has no Pin spacing, interval scheduling or CSV import, so spread queued Pins across the calendar yourself.
